This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Marque Technologies Engineering Academy uses them, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. Cookies cannot harm your device and do not contain executable code.
2. Types of Cookies We Use

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Detail)
- sb-access-token Supabase authentication JWT. Expires after session or 1 hour.
- sb-refresh-token Supabase session refresh token. Expires after 7 days.
- mta-theme Stored in localStorage (not a cookie). Persists your theme preference. No expiry.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled as the Platform will not function without them.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We use Supabase as our backend provider. Supabase may set cookies as part of authentication and real-time functionality. These are subject to Supabase's own privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
We do not currently use advertising or social media tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain your consent.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or manage cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in.
- Theme Preference: Your light/dark theme preference is stored in localStorage. You can clear it by opening browser DevTools Application Local Storage delete the
mta-themekey. - Analytics: If we add analytics, we will provide an opt-out mechanism.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via a banner on the Platform.
